Harem pants have made a comeback in various fashions this season with Lakme fashion week.
Remember when it became a rage with Kareena Kapoor wearing it for the classic jab we met in one of the songs. Yes, I remember how we all ran to the shops and styled out street style look to shopping day outing with these pants.
Now they have made appearance in luxury fashion and so many designers had styled and designed these variously. I particularly loved one of them by the designer @payalsinghal for Lakme fashion week in Jio garden, Mumbai 2018 spring collection.
So taking cues from the most fashion forward shows in INDIA #lfw I styled myself for wedding of my friend.
Since I want to keep a track of my formal and casual outfits alike so I have decided to start a series on my #lookbook for weddings or party dresses and also on casual ones. It’s a more organised way to keep a record of pics on the blog too apart from Instagram.
So, here is the first in the series for party outfits. And next would be a summer lookbook for casual outfit so stay tuned in.
This post is for His and Her and it’s after long time we made this moodboard with both of us. In fact Lucky is wearing a waistcoat with slim fit pants and what u realise is that dark coloured shirts give great look if paired just with the nude waistcoat.

Spring-Summer 2018 has seen pastels in fashion and on ramp. Pastel or ice cream colours bring in the idea of luxury, innocence and candies. But we constantly keep wondering what to wear pastels with. This summer trend has many ways to wear it but our concern is how to combine the pastels. the cooling effect of pastels cant be denied. Some of you ladies just love it for the gentleness of the pastel colours for they are such a spring staple. While others love it for they look positively incredible when pared with other interesting trends of the moment.
How to pair pastels :
Monochrome for they look incredible if worn from top to bottom. One could wear a crop top with a skirt and still wear the heels to in the same tone as it immediately elongates and brings the focus to the visage and exposed skin.
Colour blocking – sweet sophistication is when you wear a pastel and bright hue of same colour in two pieces. So same colour and different shades, you could go for bright pants and pastel top and you achieve a look that is bound to draw attention.
Popping on neutrals – think of a white outfit with a pale pink coat. It gives the whole thing a touch of summer, a sweet affair to remember.
Always a great idea to wear bright makeup with mascara when you go minty, or pinks, or bubblegum colours to retain the barbie doll look.
Wear a polka dress with a pastel shade with some bandanas if you are in casual mood.
While its good to keep up with the trend, its always good to keep an eye on what suits your personality. Going ahead with just a pastel bag or shoes is also enough to make a statement.
While you buy the pastels keep in mind the skin tone so you know what looks great on you and wear this trend everywhere, in office, for a lunch with your girls, or for a date, they just make you look so feminine.
It is indeed a delight to get recognition and acknowledgement for the work you do and today happened to be one of such evenings.
Today, Bangalore saw all the High heeled crowd at Orion Mall for the grand finale of Mr. & Miss BEST ICON, organised by Rio Production. The fact that I’m associated with international pageants as their style and grooming consultant also gives me the opportunity to be the esteemed jury too many a times and its always a humbling experience.Since its summers even in Namma Bengaluru , I styled my look with a comfortable shift dress and paired it with Spandex, to finish the look, I wore a hat. I prefer my skin to be bare with nude look, sight make up since I want it to breath.
The event also marked the celebration of Mall’s 6th Anniversary.
If there’s anything fanatical today then it’s IPL and cricket fever, the only thing that comes second would be fitness and sports fashion that we all so love. Today as I went for this match of RCB vs Rajasthan Royals, I felt it’s a bliss to be in bangalore. Chinnaswamy stadium is buzzing with activity, energy of people is indeed infectious and the stadium looks so colourful. The positivity and cheer of audiences adds a zest in life. Cricket surely is the most loved sport of India. It is a rage, it’s fashion, it is the phenomena.
In fact, today’s match is about environmental conservation to promote “Go Green” initiative by RCB. RCB franchise takes initiative to plant trees and to create awareness about global warming. Hence, they gave saplings as a give away to all the audiences today at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Sports and fashion, glamour and champions have always gone together. This phenomenon is not limited to the Page 3 and fashion community. In fact it gets an uptick from every girl and boy today, athletic wear, trendy stuff is something that we all love to wear.
We can’t ignore the “athleisure” label since it’s versatile as it is a hit for lazy approach to dressing.
So wear pants or denims, shorts or flare pants or palazzos, leggings or yoga pants, or your silk parka, just remember it has to be niche and luxe and lounge in comfort.
The big dilemma though is that it’s been talked about so long, but how does one get it right and interpret it as your own style statement or express it in your terms of fashion.
Make up for a match in a stadium is a big no. You could probably just give a no makeup look or nude look. Keep it minimal and hassle free.
I like wearing crop tops and since pastels are in trend this season and green is the colour of the season, I wore this lace top with mesh pants. Sneakers is a big must and you must totally avoid wearing heels.
There’s a wide array to choose from when it comes to choices in sports fashion as sports brands like Nike and Adidas have collaborated with designers to cater to luxury segment of fashion. This brings luxe to the streets. The fact is that If you are casual and comfortable then you are fashionable.
P.S. : * Lucky aka Ashish is the official MC for the IPL this year again and don’t miss to hear him out applaud and cheer for the team as you head to the stadium.
Happy IPL season, Cheers!!

So, before the weekend approaches we were already in for a treat from the biggest DTH service in India, Tata Sky the launch event for TataSky World Screen… and guys this made the approaching weekend much enjoyable and I was already looking forward to reaching back home to get glued to my TV set to watch the TataSky World Screen.
Movies are my passion and that’s what is being catered by the “World Screen” where almost all the world language cinema is showcased and that too without any ad breaks…so yippeeee!!!! you can grab onto your large tub of popcorn and sit for hours together if you love world movies the way i’m mad for it…
The content is in multiple languages apart from English, for example, Arabic, Portugese, German, French Italian, Hindi, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Israeli,,,to name a few. Moreover all the movies you can watch with English subtitles, so seeing the whole world at your fingertips with your preferred language was never so easy.
You can of course watch it through your already existing Tata Sky STB or if you want it can be accessed through Tata Sky mobile app or web app (watch.tatasky.com). You can subscribe to Tata Sky World Screen from the link below https://www.tatasky.com/wps/portal/TataSky/services/tata-sky-services-entertainment/tata-sky-world-screen
Not only you can watch the movies but also you would be able to watch a lot of TV series from around the world.
The launch event was a fun event with the Stand Up comedian Arnav Rao playing with his words and making it funny for his audience, accompanied by the chilled mocktails and beer served along with hot and juicy starters. Followed by the preview of the World Series content of some sitcoms and movies which made the evening complete and a pre cursor to the great weekend ahead.
As Arun Unni the CCO of the Tata Sky rightly said…. “Subscribers can watch great content from around the world as great stories have no language barrier”
Recently Aromatherapy associates, London was launched in Jean Claude Biguine, bangalore and I had an opportunity to get a spa therapeutic massage done.
Jean Claude biguine is not unknown to any of us in bangalore or elsewhere for its luxurious beauty services and now this collaboration makes it doubly fantastic.
I was introduced to the products by Christina from #jcb that are natural, parabens free and against animal testing, extracted from inexhaustible variety of plants and flowers imparting healing properties to these oils.
The philosophy of this brand is to give you mindful beauty, balancing your chakras and taking you through a sensorial journey while enhancing your well being.
I chose to be natural that day and went without makeup since I wanted the natural radiance to shine through and voila it was an amazing experience.
A restful day, started with strawberries and green tea, took forward with hearty laughter and chat while discussions with the consultant Christina and the rest and culminated with a fantastic massage leaving me looking radiant.
My products were chosen according to my skin type, although there’s a whole range of bath, body care products to choose from #aromatherapyassociates#london and the treatments are available at Jean Claude Biguine now in #bangalore

They have done successful collaborations with some of the leading jewelry, fashion and lifestyle brands in India and consult on personal and corporate brand styling. Anuja says, “It is not easy to keep track of the latest trends and serve what people love to see or read and also keep in mind what our clients have to offer, but what I do gives me immense satisfaction and I get to learn so much in the process”. Having only just come out of one her toughest years (losing her mother just before her 60th birthday, Anuja has come to realize that a lifetime is not enough with the ones you love, “so treasure love and relationships over everything else, treasure time and invest it wisely on people who matter.”
As for her message to all the wonder women out there, Anuja says, “Love yourself, women are the most wonderful creations of nature, they are most capable – as they produce, nurture, and provide love and warmth. Appreciate other women, try to be the wind beneath the wings of another woman. Live, love and laugh.”
A lawyer specialized in Media and Entertainment Law from London Metropolitan University and a topper of her batch in Philosophy honours and masters from Hindu College, University of Delhi, Anuja Pandey’s love lies in writing poetries and theatre. Her sense of excellence and knack for achieving perfection has been the reason of how she continues to see and recognise extraordinary in what might appear ordinary to some. Anuja is full of life and adventure which is one thing everybody should learn from her. She believes in no regrets in life but to learn from your mistakes and move on. “Cogito ergo sum” – “Think hard before any action” is her philosophy.
Her message to people who wants to follow on her path – “If you want to do something, and you feel passionate about it then you must give it a try. Don’t undermine your qualities and your capabilities. You don’t need to be a graduate in that particular field to pursue it, just believe in yourself, do self-assessment and be true to what you are. Age and qualifications don’t matter, mind matters, positivity matters.”

Bikers fashion is more of a rock and roll, sturdy 50s kinds, it’s a combination of that with the protective gear. If one really talks to a biker about fashion or style they would realise that bikers’ only concern is protection and hence the black leggings, leather jackets, studded bracelets, helmets and boots etc look Uber cool and make a statement that is become more of a street style too. Hollywood is inspired by them too and I can’t help but get amazingly inspired by their rugged looks.
Hence when we were invited by the roadster, to propose our love to this sexy machine #scramblerducati and woo it and win it, we loved it.
The love for bikes is been a childhood craze since the days of Manipal when I was in college. And #Ducati was a dream bike always. I remember how all of us guys n few gals would just hit the roads on weekend holidays and flirt with the wind and dangerous curves of western ghats. A bunch of guys who are stepping into youth and playing with dangers and seeking thrill. It was like a bunch of crazy boys exploring the hidden world out there, the small temples in some aloof hilly terrains with peepul leaves ruffling and making noise as we would take breaks. Life is adventure and when I proposed to this bike then it was all my real feel to own it that got a vent, thanks to this opportunity.
We wore roadster jackets and boots and loved this fun experience of wooing the bike. My partner in crime is always Softy and she made it even more fun.
=Yours truly Lucky=
Waiting to know who all love the bumpy rides of rocky terrains here.

As it’s when you love yourself first that you could love anyone else. Friends play the most important role invypur happiness and toxic people must be kept at bay . Recently it was my bday and I had a fuzzy, warm one all due to my friends.
The beautiful red dress I chose to wear has cut work and I loved this colour. To add to the bling I teamed it with a cape in rose gold and curls in my hair. Happy birthday to me, love my amazing friends and happy to announce that our blog ie me n my co Blogger Lucky are getting associated with Femina Miss India this year as their talent partners, some warm feeling with loss of Happy hormones… good night
A 5k millet run was organized in the city on Sunday. Part of the International Millet Fair, the aim of the event was to promote awareness about the grain and to encourage farmers. Minister for Agriculture, Krishna Byregowda, not only flagged off the run at the Cubbon Park Bandstand, but also participated in it, encouraging fellow runners in the process.
So the second series of my blog on CKC Krishnaiyah Chetty line of award winning jewellery is an ode to Sun God.
Friends Forever
A striking design for a waistbelt inspired by the movie ‘Sholay’. A story centred around the indispensable bond of friendship, the rotatable coin in the centre featuring heads on both sides is iconic and symbolic of the sacrifices in friendship. The horses and boulders on the sides represent the action and environment in which the main part of the story unfolds, and the character Gabbar Singh’s belt is the base around which the jewellery piece is structured.
Crafted in 22kt yellow gold with antique polish and highlights of white rhodium. Contrast of shiny and textured finishes, with smoky quartz gemstones in bezel setting forming the smouldering rocks. Gold mesh chain with belt buckle and adjustability. The total length is 34 inches and net gold weight is 433.14 grams.
This piece was selected as a finalist for the Artisan Awards: Celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema, one of the most prestigious awards for Jewellery Design in India.
My perception of it is inspired by the Greek and Vedic mythology wherein the Sun Is in the centre and its chariot is driven by the 7 horses, the horses signifying movement, strength, power, celestial wisdom.
Sun in the centre around which the earth revolves, and Sun, being the most powerful source of energy in universe is the Supreme God and hence my interpretation of the coin that is revolving in this jewellery as earth.
Sun- the symbol of power, light, brilliance, energy, is truly a symbol of the glamour of self importance and that which is praiseworthy, the beauty of a woman. This amazingly inspiring piece of jewellery which gives a look of Greek history and mythology, one that is typically in royal fashion is a possession that defines victory and freedom. It is rightly meant for a woman who loves extravagance and extraordinary.
Wishing you all a Happy Makar Sankranti in advance when the Sun God brings about the change in seasons. May this season be auspicious and happy for all my beautiful readers and audience keep loving
