Dr. Jamuna Pai- the celebrity skin specialist

Skin is a tattletale. It usually tells people things you don’t always want them to know…. no one gossips more than your skin.  – Dr. Jamuna Pai.

Dr Jamuna PaiWho doesn’t know Dr. Jamuna Pai? She has spent last twenty years being the one that A – list Bollywood stars, top industrialists and Miss Indias have turned to for their skin problems. She has been my childhood favourite columnist when I would ensure to take a sneak peek into Femina when my mom would read her columns. She is the pioneer of the skin care movement in this country , being the first to introduce many techniques including Botox , Medicated Facials, aesthetic peels including Spanish brightening peel.

The other day I had the privilege of writing a review as I was invited to her posh skin lab on the high end Lavelle Road, Bengaluru. The owner of the franchisee was very warm as she introduced me to Dr. Abhishek who took more than half an hour to analyse my skin and recommend the brightening medi facial to take care of my acne and tan at the same time. Further more , I was taken to the lavish treatment room where the therapist took me through the products that she was instructed to use on my skin. The treatment started as a general rule with cleansing which was followed by sugarcane peel for natural brightening and then a mild exfoliating cream. The massage was brief and gel based. Since I have sensitive skin, therefore gel had hyaluronic acid and alpha hydoxy acid for brightening. Thereafter oxygen was infused into my skin using a pressurised stream of oxygen. This process helps in absorption of hyaluronic acid. The high level of oxygen is naturally antibacterial, cooling and calms skin conditions such as acne. Finally a mask goes to complete the process. All the products used are from Dr. Jamuna Pai . The treatment left my skin glowing , refreshed and alive. This was my experience in my words.

Ashish’s experience of meeting the stunningly gorgeous Dr. Pai in his own words.

The next day Dr. Pai was herself visiting the clinic. When I met Dr. Jamuna Pai it was a treat in itself and the plethora of knowledge she has about just not only skin but overall health was something very commendable.

Today in the era of this looks conscious world when you’ll meet the doctor you’ll know healthy skin means overall health care and when people need shortcuts because of the requirements (marriage or an event) there are umpteen number of solutions too which can take care of the situation in the offing.

All in all we bloggers had a blast meeting this beautiful lady and fetching some very important information about a healthy and beautiful looking skin.

No one has to knowCherry on the cake was getting a signed copy of her famous book ” No one has to know“.

Thus “Make a wish. Beautiful, glowing skin. Hair that shines with health. No age spots or dark circles. The very process of ageing slowed down to a gentle crawl… you now have the power.” No one has to know

Both me and Ashish had a wonderful experience jointly blogging on Dr. Jamuna Pai. Ashish ‘s review on young guy’s skin care would follow soon.

Junior chef Pari

The kitchen is a very fascinating place for children. They see their mother working and dishing out delicious recipes for everyone in the family. The smell of good food being cooked, the steam coming out of pots intrigues them and interests them. It’s always like a mystery for the kids where they want to figure out what concoctions are being made.

We must give kids a chance to get involved in household chores, if they are younger then they can set up the table, or may be, get you a glass of water. And if the kids are old enough then you can make them bake or they could help you with making desserts etc.

My little girl, Pari had been insisting to bake for quite some time so what better day than children’s day to choose. The points to be taken into notice are-

Right time of the day matters

When you are trying to do any sort of activity with the kids you need to see that they should not be really tired or irritable, else they won’t be able to enjoy the activity. I chose forenoon when anyways they need to snack on something before lunch on the days they are home. Also this time of the day they are fresher and more energetic too. It’s also a smart idea to have another adult in the kitchen to help you keep an eye on your junior chef.

Organise

Always plan a little ahead and be ready with the ingredients . A little planning will save you and the kid from frustrating. So it’s a good idea to know what your little chef plans to cook and keep it simple. The ingredients should not be more than maximum five in order to keep it easy n interesting for the junior chef. It’s always a good idea to make muffins or such things with them.

Hygiene

It does work wonders when you cook with them as they naturally imbibe the good habits of washing their berries or fruits or whatever ingredients are needed for the cooking. They learn while they enjoy and cook.

Safety rules

The kids must know that they are not supposed to whirr the grinders or the electric beaters etc. They must understand at all point of time it is unsafe so it’s a good idea to always repeat and tell them that they need to stay away from sharp objects like knives.

Relax n be patient

Loosen up since kids cannot be counted onto being neat in the kitchen. Even as adults, we make a little mess, so, much mess is expected while your junior chef is at work.Always Be kind and patient with kids and older people. Lastly, be more appreciative about the kid’s efforts. It goes a long way in building their belief in themselves. A mother can give a kid a lifetime of self assurance which no adversity can snatch from them even when they grow up.

My daughter and her friend on this children’s day cooked some cheese and pesto straws. Pari was insisting on baking these for quite some time and she had the recipe from the book her grandma had gifted her. So here goes the recipe

Skincare with INNISFREE

This year is going by so fast, I can’t believe it’s already November, Diwali is over and the nip of the air has that slight chill which touches the tip of my nose as I step out early in the morning and we’re so close to the holidays. There are a few ways I switch up my beauty routine to suit the change in season around this time of year. Small tweaks to your makeup and skincare will make all the difference as we go from fall to winter. Today I will discuss my skin care routine and next to follow would be the hair care.

I love to try a lot of products from various brands, only switching often can surely lead to sensitivity and break outs. So the best way, that I have learnt overtime, to switch products is to change with the season as you would require a change in your routine anyways.

So I was travelling and it was almost few years back when INNISFREE was not launched in India and since I had read how Julia Roberts loves this brand for its against animal testing and all natural so I had to buy this and soon it became a part of my routine over years.

Innisfree is a naturalism-oriented cosmetics brand created by Amore Pacific. The brand name originated from W. B. Yeats’ poem, ‘The Lake Isle of Innisfree’.

It is one of the few Korean brands that use organic ingredients certified by France’s ECOCERT organization. Innisfree is known for being South Korea’s first all-natural

INNISFREE real quinoa mask

  •  A refreshing finish from fresh, natural ingredients
  •  Abundant nutritional formula for resilient skin
  •  Resilient texture with the sizzle of grain
  •  Refreshes skin with a delicate natural fragrance while applying this mask.

This is a woderful and I totally swear by it for it doesn’t disturb the ph balance of my skin. This is so soothing to skin. You can just leave it on for 10 mins and then wash it off with lukewarm water. And yes you are all set and the nourishment to the skin keeps it supple n healthy.

When I had initially bought there was this olive self heating pack and a almond sugar scrub which was again lovely and now it’s been discontinued from the product line somehow.

The season of gifting – Kama Ayurveda

Kama Ayurveda products are the ones I can bet on as they have never disappointed me since so many years and thus few of them have bagged fixed place in my bathroom shelves over so many years. Kama gives me the feeling of being close to my earthy self with its distinct aroma which is so nature derived and plant based. These products which induce glow and beauty to you head to toe not only pamper your skin but also enhance your general well being factor (believe me, it cannot be always about looking good but the feeling that it imparts holds true for a longer duration).

So this Diwali I got a beautiful gift hamper of Kama Ayurveda and, in plain words, it made me simply happy and yes I was glowing again. I felt so good as soon as I got ready in the evening before Pooja, after having used the products sent to me.

Kama Ayurveda determines each person’s skin type, depending on their Pratrikiin. This is decided by distinguishing which dosha is most dominant within each individual. These three doshas are known as Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Each dosha is very different but unique in their own way. The Ayurvedic way of healing treats each dosha independently and aims to achieve harmony and balance within and without.

The products I received were the MRIDUL UBTAN or the everyday face cleanser, the LAVANYA face mask , and the ROSEWATER which I have sprayed nth no. Of times already and each pump of mist I spray on my face makes me feel lighter- woohhoo. ( my little girl loves to spray it all the time)

MRIDUL is the soap free face cleanser which can be used daily. It is a combination of herbs, pulses and cereals and gently exfoliates the skin. I prefer to mix a little milk and rub it off my skin as soon as I wake up. it’s just like the UBTAN which was used in olden days .

LAVANYA is a natural plant mask and has anti microbial properties. It is very effective for acne since it has Lodhra which is a natural blood purifier. I mix it with some water and leave it on for half an hour and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Nothing new, right, we all do this but the skin that emerges out is definitely fresh n dewy.

Finally spray some pure ROSE WATER and you are all set n lofty with taut, supple skin.

So be lofty as you go take on the world, the pampering you do is all for you and to make you feel great more than anything else and always remember YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL 🌸🌸🌸🌸 so spread the sunshine everywhere you go today and as you celebrate Diwali let the light of divas penetrate your inner self and lighten it up there and cleanse n purify you from all darkness …

Happy Deepawali again folks 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎊🎁🎈🎈🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Look good, feel good & eat with no GUILT!

It is impossible to say NO to sweets and mouth-watering dishes this festive season.

Are you scared to pile on the pounds? Want to avoid going out and stay at home instead? Why make excuses when you can enjoy the celebrations and not worry about the excess calories.

Diwali Sugar free sweets

So how do you make sure you stay in shape amidst all the festivities? Here are a few tips:

  • Eat in moderation: Taste the different sweets and dishes but do not over indulge. Choose smaller portion sizes. Try to avoid the second helping, okay let’s be realistic, and try to avoid the third helping.
  • Eat slowly: The food might be real-YUM but eating fast only makes you eat more. Be mindful while eating. Savor the dish and eat slowly.
  • Water your savior: Keep yourself well hydrated and drink a glass of water before the meal. This keeps you full and reduces your food intake.
  • If you know that you have a party at night then try to eat light during the day. Eating at home before you step out is also a good alternative to avoid binge eating at the party.
  • Food choices: If you do have choices in the spread then choose grilled over deep fried and fruits over fruit juices. Try to fill yourself with fruits and vegetables.
  • Party host: If you are hosting the party try to keep dry fruits instead of sweets and cook healthy meals.
  • Workout: Do not stop working out. Make some time during the day and if you cannot make it to your scheduled workout session, improvise with some home fitness.

Last but the most important tip: DO NOT STRESS! If you did eat a little extra , so shall it be , forget about it and relax. More you stress , more likely you are to gain weight.

Unwind on Sunday so that Monday blues don’t hit you

Are you too getting scaries on the idea of a Sunday coming and just giving way to the Monday with hardly any activity done. Yes it happens to a lot of us, the Sunday getting over and no chores done to prepare you for the grind of the coming week; or sometimes, it’s the other problem altogether, my Sunday flies off as I’m only trying to meet up the unfinished work of the week bygone and I don’t even realise when it’s evening and my family time is totally killed.

It happens a lot of times and it leaves us more anxious and thus I get the Monday blues when I’m in no mood to wake up n send my kids to school too for the fact that Sunday was too hectic doing homework for them or we got so busy socialising that we never got to spend any time together as a couple in the absence of the others.

Then it also happens to many, that the Sunday mornings are sometimes very long and day starts so late and you already feel exhausted even after having slept for such long hours, due to PDA ( post drinking anxiety) and drowsiness hitting you so hard that u only realise that half of the day is already over as you wake up.

The only comforting fact is this kind of Sunday scaries and anxieties, not being ready for the hectic week ahead and not feeling that you got a fulfilling family time and yet the Sunday got over too soon, blah, blah, is universal- period. So let’s stop worrying and rushing into things and try to deal with this. If we stick to a few basics then probably the Sunday’s could be more relaxing coupled with more productivity too.

Sleep but not too late

I can go on sleeping when it’s a Sunday morning and, like a lot of us, even I’m averse to waking up to alarms (which increase my heart palpitations, let me confess), unless it’s my little girl who would anyways manage to wake me up with her lullabies which she loves to sing to me (I know you are wondering that a lullaby is supposed to make you sleep but what do u do when she keeps on giving you a loving slap or two while she sings out to you). But, believe me, waking up and seeing Pari’s face makes my day. So Sleep but start your day that late, recently I have been sleeping in but just an hour or two late so that I still have time to catch up on the day without letting it slip and get over. Moreover the body clock takes a while to settle with different sleep n wake up timings on different days of the week.

Allow some leisure time on weekend

Always keep your morning and late afternoons free for the things you would want to do, without having to look at the clock or mobile or check your mails. You deserve this time for a lazy movie in the couch with your family in the afternoons. I like to wake up late and step in my shower on a Sunday, toss some quick omelettes or pancakes and whirl up the smoothies for us and then step out for a nice family brunch with hardly any makeup on. Yes, ladies , let your hair loose and don’t think so much. Sometimes I like to cycle or go to a park and walk, a place where I don’t see anybody I know and feel one with myself. Some boating afternoons and bird watching with the kids and family make it a superb weekend, and if you have a romantic tea and some cake while boating (of course you will have to be super cautious about keeping your environment clean), which I usually carry in the basket, then you have achieved it, added to your well being, feel good factor, and yes, without a mention it goes, earned brownie points in the kid and hubby’s diary without a doubt. I completely love the sound of water and the birds when we go out boating and bird watching, it is so calming to the nerves and soothing to your senses, ahh!

Some time to organize too

I don’t know how you feel but my Sunday anxieties are also about not being prepared for the coming week and then overworking and getting drained on weekdays. So, although unwinding and taking time out to relax and breathe is a must yet it is of utmost importance to also prepare for the coming week.

My worries are the morning tiffins for all of us, what all will I pack, getting ready with groceries and keeping my refrigerator loaded with lots of things to snack on, being ready with my wardrobe so that there’s no room for confusion as to what are my social outings and my clothes for work and otherwise.
I prepare a menu for the mornings and school lunch box and accordingly stock up my fridge etc 🌭🌮🍥🍲🍯. It’s always great to organize your kitchen and get in control of stuff and even the wardrobes; if you are a working professional then the best day to get a relaxed pedicure or a spa is the weekend (unless you are a beauty blogger who gets invited to various treatmentsand this is a part of your work profile😀💄👛👠👄💅💃).
Unwind before you sleep

My idea to finish my day is to pick up a good book or hit the bath tub with some aromatic salts and scented candles with something to sip on (what ever suits your tastebuds) and soak in. This enlivens my senses and makes me so ready for a hectic Monday morning which is quite manageable, with no anger pangs or blues or feeling of over tiredness, if I have had a Sunday with organized and planned activity and planned inactivity too. Although I never like routines as I find it too monotonous to stick to a routine which is never changing yet I realise, that trying to stick to a certain schedule which you can keep varying weekly is not such a bad idea. So keep the blues at bay and have an awesome week ahead as you can supercharge yourself with few changes in your lifestyle which might initially take an effort but would slowly take you away from the anxieties and scaries which we all go through. Enjoy your morning cuppa, look at real people and things around you, breathe in the fresh air and leave your gadgets alone for initial hours of the beautiful morning. It is a new day in your life, celebrate it and cherish it and don’t take it for granted for it is surely a blessing.

DIY – oatmeal for soothing the skin

Apart from my daily beauty regimen , which I will share soon , I love to do a moisturising scrub once in a month.

This two ingredient scrub is simple but super effective! It’s great for gently exfoliating away dead skin cells, making the skin smoother and brighter, as well as healing dry and/or acne prone skin. Best of all, it’s super easy to make and only requires two ingredients you probably already have in your pantry: old fashioned rolled oats and honey.

oatmeal-2

Oatmeal, milk and honey spa

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp finely ground oatmeal and 1 tbsp honey.

2. Add 1 tbsp warm water and mix thoroughly, so the mixture becomes a paste like consistency.

3. Apply scrub to entire face with fingertips and massage for one minute, then let sit for 4 minutes.

4. Rinse off with a washcloth and warm water.

Oatmeal and honey have amazing healing qualities separately, so using them together is magic! Oatmeal is full of anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, known for moisturizing dry skin, providing relief from itching, rashes and other minor skin irritations. Honey is a natural antibiotic, containing healing properties that soothe and clear up the skin.

What is beauty

Beauty, when we hear this word what comes to our mind is Angelina Jolie,
Priyanka chopra, selalena Gomez,  Deepika Padukone and
other women with perfect bodies, symmetrical  facial features and
long legs with gracious smiles that tingle on their structured face at all times.

what-is-beauty1 what-is-beauty2

Is that really what beauty mean, after all there is no definition of beauty
is there? Now the question stands tall what does beauty mean to you ?

what does beauty mean to me

To me beauty is when you look at yourself in the mirror and say  “WOW”
and you don’t need anyone’s opinion because you have yours.

Beauty is when a selfless act is performed without expectations.

Beauty is when you posses an a personality ,everyone may not
approve of, but the ones that truly love you always will.

Beauty is when you reach great heights but still are the same for the
people you met before reaching those heights.

Beauty is non-apologetic   but forgiving.

Beauty is when you posses an aura everyone wants to be around.

BUT most importantly beauty is simply YOU,

so don’t change yourself .your beautiful the way you are and YOU my friend don’t
need anyone to tell you that.

Vape your way to health

Vape-your-vitamins2
Vape-your-vitamins1 Vape-your-vitamins3
Vitamin vapours are the latest findings and also fad for the health enthusiasts who also like the idea of a smoke or two.

Several studies have shown that the body can effectively and efficiently absorb inhaled vitamin B12. Guys and girls you can vape your way to health with these.

One study showed that inhaling a vitamin B12 aerosol spray effectively restored normal levels of vitamin B12 in people. Another study showed that inhalation was especially useful for the treatment of ‘pernicious anemia’, one of the most serious conditions that can result from Vitamin B12 deficiency.

The studies indicate that inhaling vitamin B12 is a highly promising method for treating B12 deficiency, and that inhalation can be as effective as injections for maintaining healthy levels.

B12 is a good fit for vaporizing

Vitamin B12 is uniquely well suited for vaporizing for three main reasons:

  • Because your body only needs a very small amount of it , so it can be inhaled in several puffs.
  • Because B12 isn’t sensitive to the temperatures involved in vaping, so the heat doesn’t ruin it.
  • Because inhaling it has been found effective in several studies, dating back to the 1950’s.

The same cannot be said for many other vitamins, like vitamins A and C, which would require thousands of puffs a day, and haven’t been shown effective in any inhalation studies.

Vapours

  • No Caffeine Crash. No Sugar Crash. No Calories. No Nicotine.
  • Vegan. Gluten Free. Organic Flavors.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Though these look promising yet all said n done if you intend to take a few puffs here n there , then it’s good idea to use these as even though they might not be what they claim to be yet your need to breathe out the smoke will be looked after. I think if I can I would try one soon.

Treat yourself to one of the many treatments on offer from elite spa and skincare brand, Ila, along with pampering from trained therapists who transport you to another world by the expertise of their treatments. In addition there are a range of specialist aesthetic treatments and facials. The Shangri-la has appointed a very well qualified, advisor and doctor, Dr.Jazzy who is an expert in her field and would advise you what would go with your skin type, at the same time keeping the nature or Prakriti of your body in mind since she also happens to be a yoga practioner and trainer. So what goes with the ‘chi’ of your body is her business and you can relax in her hands to access and choose right products, aroma and technique of massage for you.

Lift your spirits without lifting a finger. Make time to dissolve stress and supercharge your senses – rejuvenate and renew with a therapeutic facial or cocoon yourself in a tranquil body wrap. Attached to the wellness and spa is the all equipped gymnasium and health club.

I was pampered to the best with a lovely facial before I was about to fly for Canada to take care of my skin and breakouts and it was wonderful experience with magical impact. The Ila pure, organic skin care products work on a deep level to restore, to nurture and to balance people, the skin and its sustainability.Absolutely everything comes from a plant or mineral and nothing else. Ila products are composed of the finest, purest ingredients in the world. And it showed on my skin.

Before the treatment started I was treated to a lovely, aromatic cup of berry tea which was so soothing to my senses. And then I was escorted to the luxuriously indulgent treatment room in the spa which was so cosy and well furnished with its interiors and lighting setting a benchmark (anyways as I mentioned before also in my food review of tanabata  that the impressive chandeliers of shangri-la make my heart so warm and happy). The bed was also thermally heated and the therapist said a prayer before getting me on the process. She used Damascena and Argan oil cleanser for my skin and finally the massage was done with sandalwood and Damascena rose otto face oil. It was truly a pampering experience and left and natural glow to my skin which was unmistakable. Dr. Jazzy also explained to me how every single drop of oil is extracted using 36 sola roses. Is it not amazing? This made me feel like my cheeks were almost rosy and a smile could not escape my lips which were also treated to a mask making them so kissable.

Followed by this was an awesome afternoon cup of tea with snacks in the grand reception lobby of the Shangri-la, which will hereafter soon.

The Independence Day is about to come and Shangri-la has some great vacay offers to break from monotony. It includes a day stay with some treatments at Chi, the spa of the hotel along with a lunch and the complimentary breakfast. So all roads will lead to Shangri-la this day if you want to break free from the daily routine.

Thanks to shangri-la  for the wonderful afternoon I had  and the super rich spa facial I was treated to.

My Good hair days in Canada- the travel companion: Hask

Hask1

It’s a beautiful summer day and you’re about to head out on a weekend adventure. The ice box in the car is packed with sodas and juices, your beach bag is stocked with essentials and you’ve slathered on the sunscreen but is your hair protected? Exposure to UV can fade color, cause dryness and make your tresses look brittle and dull.

Hask’s new hair care collection utilizes the nurturing benefits of Kalahari Melon found in the African desert. This adaptable fruit thrives in the most hostile conditions and retains moisture in one of the driest environments on the plant which makes it ideal for color-treated, dry or damaged hair. The protective shield complex counteracts everyday washing (which I don’t recommend) and heat styling to prevent dyes from fading. Although I don’t color my hair, the UV blockers also help maintain natural color hydration, shine and vibrancy.

The products in the collection are free of sulfates, phthalates, parabens, gluten and artificial colors making them safe for all hair types. The replenishing shampoo smells amazing and is loaded with nourishing cranberry, melon and sunflower oils to gently cleanse and rid the scalp of dirt, oil and build-up. Because the formula does not contain harsh detergents like most shampoos on the market, it won’t strip away too much natural sebum or cause brittleness and irritation.

hair1

The Color Protection Conditioner has many of the same ingredients as the shampoo with a creamy consistency that efficiently coats each strand to soften, shine and detangle without weighing down my hair.

hair2

Since my hair tends to be on the dry side, I use a deep conditioner every week to boost moisture, prevent breakage and reduce the occurrence of split-ends. The Hask Treatment Mask has the same UV shield to protect color and prevent damage with a lush, ultra-nourishing formula that gives  hydration. The packet is great for vacation and contains enough conditioner for 1-2 treatments so I’m carrying it in my  beauty bag all this while when I’m travelling. hair3

With every Hask collection there is a great treatment oil! The vial may look small but a little goes a long way and the lightweight, non-greasy formula absorbs well to provide radiant sheen and suppleness. I use it all the time to control frizziness in my hair.

IN FLIGHT HYDRATING SKIN CARE ROUTINE

hydrating-skin-care-routine2
hydrating-skin-care-routine1
Metaphorically travel is not a destination; it’s a feeling that constantly nourishes your mind ,body and soul; an experience that can make your heart skip a beat and become an everlasting memory. While our mind gets enriched and nourished, we need to definitely invest in some good skin care regime which is to be followed in- flight to save you.
Luxury is all About Experiences you Treasure with what Value can Buy .. For me a Good In-Flight Experience is the Perfect Marriage of Luxe, Timeless & Memorable Travel .. & i think while travelling, skin is one thing which needs utmost care. I am travelling today and my inflight skin care is of top most priority as I don’t want to dehydrate myself and also my skin. So here’s a peek into what I would usually travel with and what I won’t travel without to survive my skin in a long journey, as long as Toronto.

Travelling always dries out my skin – especially on flights! I like to pack a “hydration” carry on kit of my most moisturising skincare products to ensure that my skin doesn’t dry out on long distance flights.

1. Clarins total cleansing oil

2. Dermal Arbutin collagen essence mask

3. Pure body naturals- vitamin c serum

4. Clinique dramatically different moisturiser

5. Body shop olive beautifying oil

First, I’ll use a gentle, cream cleanser to remove any makeup or dirt. Then I like to use a sheet mask to pop back in all the moisture into my dehydrated airplane skin. I’ll leave it on for 30 minutes or take a nap with it on.

Once I’m awake and the mask is dried out, I’ll use a moisturising serum + lotion combination on clean, bare skin. First, I add a watery serum like the vitamin c serum and then top on a hydrating gel based lotion – the Clinique version is great. Finally, I’ll add a thin layer moisture mask and seal it all in with a facial oil! By the time I’m off the plane, my skin is plump, moisturised and dewy!

Defy time, recapture beauty, with La Prairie

defy-time1 defy-time3
Recently , I had the opportunity to attend a promotional event organised by the luxury brand in beauty, La prairie, hosted by the lovely Aneesha, at her residence. The La prairie crew flew down to bangalore for giving us this luxurious, pampering indulgence, wherein the staff not only made us aware about the various range and products of the lavish brand , but also treated me to some exquisite creams and serums,  a mini ritual. The hostess treated all her guests to some delicious snacks and green tea and coffee while the women were totally busy getting the pampering sessions done.

An exquisite fusion of Swiss science, art and rare ingredients. An eternal quest for timeless beauty. La Prairie goes to the ends of the earth to bring you back the most precious resource of all …time. Fatigued skin, dullness, dryness and first lines fade. Refreshed, resilient, younger looking skin emerges, sheer beauty that resists time. This is the promise of a brand that has not yet been launched in bangalore.

I loved the midnight rain from the range of perfumes, it definitely would take the night by storm. As I left and the giveaway was a cute, little, silver pouch with a select few  products ,from the lovely crew of La Prairie , the little perks of being a blogger. Totally loved it, look forward to glowing gold and it is being brilliantly exuberant with the La prairie.
